Evidence-backed U.S. equity research

Stock Dossier Lab

A public audit trail for stock-screening ideas: what the model observed, what happened next, and which hypotheses did not survive the benchmark.

The honest finding

Positive raw returns are not the same as repeatable alpha.

The latest V4.67.1 controlled replay found that later holding windows often produced positive average returns, while the broad experiments still lagged QQQ on average. The lab publishes that gap instead of hiding it.

Signal density increased. Benchmark-beating evidence did not.

V4.67.1 historical sample produced 19,788 observations versus 3,881 under strict experiment A. More candidates improved research coverage, not proven edge.

Five holding windows, two ways to read every result

Raw return answers what happened to the stock. Excess return asks whether the screen added value over simply holding QQQ.

Move from discovery to falsification

Each path has a different job. A dossier explains the business question; the lifecycle tracks visibility; the audit tests outcomes.
