Sector comparison standard

Use the same evidence basis across Information Technology companies

A sector comparison should begin with organic demand, recurring or backlog indicators, gross margin, research investment, stock-based compensation, and free cash flow. The most important downside checks usually include product cycles, customer concentration, rapid substitution, and valuation sensitivity. Do not average unlike business models merely because they share a sector label.

Comparable evidence

Align fiscal periods, segment scope, currency, acquisitions, and reported-versus-adjusted treatment. For companies such as AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, AVGO, CRM, identify where business mix prevents a direct ratio comparison and retain that limitation beside the result.

Sector-relative conclusion

Separate operating improvement from multiple expansion and broad sector performance. A company can report better fundamentals while lagging its sector, or outperform in price while its reported evidence weakens.

Each sector-board update should show the primary filing, the exact measurement period, at least one peer using the same definition, the strongest counter-evidence, and the next dated checkpoint.
